Voice Flute after P. Bressan
The example for this recorder is again one out of the F. Brüggen collection. The orginal is still in a very good condition. Its tone and design are very beautiful. I have tried to stay as faithful to it as possible. The only adjustments made were raising the pitch from 408 to 415 Hertz. The recorder has, because of its narrow bore, a fast and direct speech. It can be used for playing traverso literature in the orginal key, though some adjustments will have to be made because of its more limited range. The tone of the instrument is, as said, very beautiful both in the low and high register. Like all flutes of Bressan it is very flexible and makes very expressive playing possible. The recorder will normally be delivered with double bored tone holes, it has a modern baroque fingering and is tuned at a = 415 hertz. Of course a ‘copy' tuned to a' = 408 Hertz is possible. This latter one will have single bored tone holes and a historical fingeringImage.
