This bass recorder belongs to the line of the soprano, alto and tenor recorders of my own design. After trying and examining many instruments I started making prototypes. It was my purpose to make a sonorous sounding bass with as few keys as possible (only for F and F-sharp). This bass, that has the same design as my other recorders, is the final result. It is extremely powerful in the lower register, and has a rich tone. The high register has a very easy speech and even the highest notes keep sounding clearly. It will most certainly be an asset to your ensemble. There are several endcaps for the head for playing with an S-tube or it can be played directly. The head can also be reversed, allowing you to find the best possible playing position. The metal (S-tube and keys) can be delivered in brass, silver-plated brass or, against extra charge, solid silver. Its standard pitch is at a' = 440 Hertz. |
