About us
Ronald Wick Fluitbouw is the name of the woodwind-workshop that was founded in january 1988 in 's Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. Started as repair-service it developed into a place for hand-made recorders and flutes in the traditional way, with "affiliates" in Switzerland (Thun) and later France. Besides copying of early woodwind we develop new instruments based on historical examples. The recorders and flutes have found their way to music-lovers around the world. Where? Just pass your mouse over the worldmap to see where a part of our instruments went to. The list has become too long to be complete, but it gives you an impression.

ImageImage Ronald Wick began his training repairing flutes, clarinets, and saxes in 1980. In 1984 he started copying historical instruments. After a few courses with Alec Loretto and a training in Israel he founded his own workshop. He has made more than 1200 new instruments and repaired or restored more than 1500 flutes and recorders of various makers/brands. For those scientists among you who want to know how many that is per year: you may calculate yourself: from the first delivery in 1988 until now is more than 22 years !
